Job Description

About the Role

Wade Trim is seeking a Civil/Structural Substation Engineer to join their ICE Team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and 5-10 years of experience in high voltage substation design.

Responsibilities

  • Structural design of electrical substation structures and foundations
  • Prepare and review calculations following industry standard methods and principles
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to junior engineers
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating engineering standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5-10 years of civil/structural experience with high voltage substation design
  • Experience with Bentley ProjectWise, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu PDF Editor
  • Strong knowledge of utility standards, AISC, ASCE, ACI, IBC

Nice to Have

  • Professional Engineering License
  • Experience with STAAD, MathCAD, LPILE, RISA or equivalent engineering software
