About the Role

The Cleaner role at Dexterra entails maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of facilities, ensuring a positive and healthy environment for clients and employees. As a key member of the facilities team, the Cleaner will work closely with other staff members to achieve exceptional customer experiences. The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the floors, washrooms, and garbage bins of the facility, as well as replenishing supplies and sanitizing common areas. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere, reflecting the company's commitment to excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain the floors, washrooms, and garbage bins of the facility to the highest standard
  • Clean and sanitize common areas, including washrooms, play areas, and phone booths
  • Replenish supplies, such as toilet rolls, hand towels, and hand soap
  • Dust all visible surfaces, including counter tops, pillars, and lighting fixtures
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor polishers
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of storage areas and closets
  • Collaborate with other staff members to achieve exceptional customer experiences
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities manager
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols and procedures

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 6 months' cleaning experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Comfortable standing for long periods and using cleaning equipment
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and protocols
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • A clear criminal background check

Nice to Have

  • Floor care experience, including scrubbing, buffing, and polishing floors
  • Knowledge of sanitation and hygiene procedures
