About the Role

The role entails working Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with a focus on general cleaning, disinfecting, and specific duties as required by the client. You will be expected to complete all tasks to a high-quality standard, taking pride in your work and ensuring that all areas are clean and safe.

What You Will Do

• Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, disinfecting, and vacuuming
• Complete specific duties as required by the client, including cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas
• Ensure all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained, taking pride in your work
• Work closely with the facilities team to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all materials are used effectively and safely
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities team, ensuring that all areas are safe and well-maintained
• Complete required safety training and adhere to all safety protocols
• Read and explain MSDS sheets, following all safety guidelines and procedures
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing your time efficiently
• Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers, providing excellent customer service and support

What We Are Looking For

• Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality and safety
• Ability to read and explain MSDS sheets, following all safety guidelines and procedures
• WHIMIS certified, with the ability to complete required safety training
• Federal Government Clearance, with the ability to obtain clearance if not already held
• First aid training, with a strong understanding of emergency procedures and protocols
• Ability to bend, turn, stoop, stand, reach high and low, lift and carry up to 25 lbs. for 3 to 4 hours per shift
• Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a cleaning or facilities role, with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and protocols
• Certification in a related field, such as hospitality or healthcare
• Ability to speak multiple languages, with a strong understanding of cultural diversity and inclusion
• Experience working with cleaning equipment and supplies, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
