About the Role
The Client Manager position at Alight Solutions is a critical role that involves managing client relationships, resolving complex claim issues, and providing technical expertise to support internal and client delivery needs. As a subject matter expert in leave solutions, the client manager will be the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring comprehensive day-to-day operational support and management of the client relationship. This role is customer-facing and requires a deep understanding of Alight's products and services, as well as the ability to convey the value of the One Alight service model to clients.The client manager will work closely with cross-functional internal teams and external key stakeholders to identify themes and trends in service delivery and claims. This role requires a high degree of adaptability, as the client manager must be able to shift quickly to meet changing client and business demands while displaying confidence, engagement, and leadership. As a change agent, the client manager will seek out and try new ideas for continuous improvement, organizing and contributing to cross-departmental and client meetings as needed.
What You Will Do
- Leverage deep absence and disability domain expertise to resolve complex claim issues, including escalations and client inquiries
- Develop and maintain expertise in all Alight products and services, conveying the value of the One Alight service model to clients
- Instill customer confidence and deepen brand strength through comprehensive domain knowledge
- Demonstrate comprehensive solution expertise, consulting with clients on how to best leverage Alight's solutions to achieve desired business outcomes
- Absorb and substantively support technology and service solutions, including relevant industry trends, practices, and risks
- Provide technical expertise to support internal and client delivery needs, such as pre/post-production testing, SSRs/CROs, and defect management
- Provide timely, proactive status updates to internal and external stakeholders with a high degree of consistency and accuracy
- Manage client escalations to accelerate issue resolution and mitigate retention risk
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external key stakeholders to identify themes and trends in service delivery and claims
- Adapt to changing conditions and proactively learn and apply new skills, methods, and behaviors
What We Are Looking For
- At least 3 years of direct client/broker relationship management experience or advanced education equivalent
- Residency in the state of Virginia
- Deep operational, relationship-building, and issue resolution skills
- Understanding of contracts, pricing, and financial models
- Experience identifying and anticipating risk and implementing effective risk mitigation plans
- Ability to identify expansion opportunities
- Industry experience in HR services/outourcing, business management, disability/absence, and/or healthcare
- Ability to travel 20-25%

- Certification in a related field, such as HR or business management
