About the Role
The Client Platform Engineering team at DoorDash plays a critical role in configuring, managing, and automating endpoint systems to support the company's global operations. As a Client Platform Engineer III, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, efficiency, and reliability of DoorDash's endpoint systems, including macOS, iOS, Windows, ChromeOS, and Android devices. You will work closely with the Security team to roll out new initiatives, develop and implement technical solutions to scale endpoint management, and identify opportunities for automation to mitigate manual processes.The Client Platform Engineering team is a global team with members in the United States, United Kingdom, and Finland, and you will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop processes and ideas that support the company's growth and success. Your expertise and experience will be essential in shaping the future of DoorDash's endpoint systems and ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of the food delivery industry.
As a key member of the Corporate Infrastructure team, you will report to the Manager, Client Platform Engineering, and contribute to the development of the company's endpoint management strategy. Your ability to work independently, think critically, and communicate effectively will be essential in this role.
What You Will Do
- Partner with the Security team to develop and implement endpoint security initiatives
- Develop and implement technical solutions to scale endpoint management
- Identify opportunities for automation to mitigate manual processes
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop processes and ideas
- Manage and maintain endpoint systems, including macOS, iOS, Windows, ChromeOS, and Android devices
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for endpoint security and management
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement new technologies and solutions
- Provide technical support and training to employees on endpoint systems and security
- Develop and maintain documentation on endpoint systems and security
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience administering an Enterprise MDM/EMM/UEM platform
- 3+ years of experience managing macOS systems with tools such as Munki, Santa, and osquery
- 3+ years of experience in one or more programming languages, including Bash, Python, Swift, and GoLang
- Strong experience deploying and managing Conditional Access and Device Trust policies and integrations
- Experience rolling out or managing a mobile BYOD program
- Experience using CI/CD for client engineering processes
- Experience utilizing APIs for automation
- Strong understanding of endpoint security and management best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Experience managing Linux, Windows, iOS, ChromeOS, and Android endpoints
- Experience with configuration and infrastructure as code
- Experience working with open source tools and contributing to the community
- Experience working on a remote team spanning multiple time zones and continents
