What You Will Do
- Interpret and enter clinical information for daily incoming cases across various specialties
- Maintain clinical data records as updated information is provided
- Follow up with ordering clinicians as needed or as directed by the supervisor for clarification of details in records and requisition of additional records
- Enter pertinent details into the database
- Communicate with the clinical data curation team to ensure accurate and timely data entry
- Participate in disease-specific data curation, research, and publication projects
- Collaborate with the Supervisor of Clinical Data Curation to develop and implement process improvements
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in genetic testing
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- General knowledge of computers and navigating databases
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
- Strong attention to detail
- Interest in genetic counseling or laboratory research
- Previous experience working with medical records abstraction, data entry, or data management
