Job Description

About the Role

As a Clinical Project Manager at Parexel, you will play a pivotal role in driving the planning, execution, and delivery of internal initiatives across Study Management functions. Your expertise in project management methodologies, such as PMP or Six Sigma, will be essential in ensuring projects are scoped clearly, resourced appropriately, tracked rigorously, and communicated transparently. You will work closely with the Director of Clinical Operations and report directly to them, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

The success of clinical trials relies heavily on the effective management of internal initiatives, and as a Clinical Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving project delivery, identifying potential risks, and developing strategies to mitigate them. Your ability to work proactively, independently, and collaboratively will be crucial in this role, as you will need to navigate complex project landscapes and prioritize tasks effectively.

What You Will Do

  • Drive project planning, execution, and delivery across Study Management functions
  • Partner with Associate Directors to shape and execute program and project strategies
  • Lead development and drive execution of project workstreams and timelines
  • Build and maintain schedules, milestones, and dependencies
  • Lead stand-ups, RAID logs, and cross-functional alignment
  • Provide executive-ready status reports
  • Apply PMO methodologies and improve processes
  • Maintain SharePoint and Teams repositories
  • Serve as a point person for Study Management Leadership Team members and workstream teams
  • Own key documents, including ADI, status updates, and timeline updates
  • Provide expertise on alignment of processes, tools, and technologies across initiatives and workstreams

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in sciences or a related field
  • Demonstrated end-to-end clinical trial management experience across Phase II and Phase III studies
  • Strong understanding of operational requirements from study start-up through close-out
  • 3-5 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Direct experience managing or influencing cross-functional program teams
  • Competency in PMP, Six Sigma, or Agility and change management methodologies
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to maintain a strategic perspective

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in a related field
  • Experience with Smartsheets or similar project management tools
  • Certification in project management or a related field
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
