About the Role
The Clinical Sales Specialist for Electrophysiology - LAA will play a pivotal role in supporting the sales and clinical efforts of Abbott's cutting-edge cardiac implantable devices. This role is integral to the company's mission to restore health and improve the quality of life through innovative device and management solutions. Day-to-day, the specialist will interact with a variety of healthcare professionals, including interventional cardiologists, catheter lab staff, and ancillary personnel, providing critical training and support on the use of Structural Heart products.The position is part of a dynamic team focused on Abbott's Stroke Prevention offerings, which include the Amplatzer, Amulet, and LAA Occluder. As such, the Clinical Sales Specialist will be at the forefront of Abbott's efforts to advance the standard of care in structural heart disease treatment. The role's success will be measured by the ability to communicate complex product, clinical, and market data effectively to appropriate personnel, thereby supporting the development and implementation of product marketing strategies.
Given the critical nature of this role, the ideal candidate will have a strong clinical orientation with the ability to influence a variety of clinician personality types. They will be expected to collaborate closely with Territory Managers to provide comprehensive case coverage and excellent clinical outcomes for patients.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with Territory Managers to ensure good case coverage and clinical outcomes for patients.
- Serve as the primary resource for clinical support in areas such as surgical coverage, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company products.
- Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products.
- Inform customers of the latest product, therapy, and technology developments in the industry.
- Engage in clinical, procedural, and technical discussions, linking data outcomes to key messaging.
- Meet with existing and potential clients (healthcare providers) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and provide creative and feasible solutions.
- Train interventional cardiologists, catheter lab staff, and ancillary personnel on the use of Structural Heart products.
- Provide technical support to physicians during procedures.
- Communicate product, clinical, and market data to appropriate personnel.
- Support the company's efforts to develop and implement product marketing strategies.
What We Are Looking For
- BS/BA or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 6+ years of related cardiovascular work experience.
- Strong clinical orientation with the ability to influence a variety of clinician personality types.
- Verification that you will satisfy all vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination for COVID-19.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel in excess of 50%.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
