The Clinical Sales Specialist for Structural Heart at Abbott plays a pivotal role in the company's mission to restore health and improve quality of life through innovative device and management solutions. This position is focused on Abbott's Amplatzer Congenital offering, which includes treatments for atrial septal defects (ASD), patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), ventricular septal defects (VSD), and patent foramen ovale (PFO). As a clinical expert, you will provide education and support to interventional cardiologists, catheter lab staff, and ancillary personnel on the use of Structural Heart products, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.Day-to-day, this role involves a mix of clinical support, sales strategy, and collaboration with Territory Managers to ensure comprehensive case coverage and optimal clinical outcomes. What You Will Do
- Collaborate with Territory Managers to provide comprehensive case coverage and ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for patients.
- Serve as the primary resource for clinical support in areas such as surgical coverage, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company products.
- Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products, ensuring they understand the latest product, therapy, and technology developments.
- Engage in clinical, procedural, and technical discussions, linking data outcomes to key messaging to drive informed decision-making.
- Meet with existing and potential clients to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and provide creative, feasible solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals to advance the adoption of Abbott's Structural Heart solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and new technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Participate in the development and implementation of product marketing strategies, leveraging clinical insights and customer feedback.
- Provide technical support to physicians during procedures, ensuring the safe and effective use of Abbott's products.
What We Are Looking For
- BS/BA or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- 9+ years of related cardiovascular work experience, with at least 3 years of experience in Structural Heart or Electrophysiology.
- Strong clinical orientation with the ability to influence a variety of clinician personality types.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage in technical discussions and link data outcomes to key messaging.
- Ability to travel in excess of 50%, including both domestic and international travel, as required.
- Verification that you will satisfy all vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination.
- Proficiency in Excel and other office software applications.
- Experience with CRM software and sales strategy development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on data analysis.
