Job Description

About the Role

The Cloud Platform Integration Engineer role at Leidos is a unique opportunity to work on large-scale projects, integrating various technologies to design and implement innovative solutions. As part of the Decision Advantage Business Area, this role will support the development of the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Processing Node (PN). The successful candidate will work closely with program managers, domain engineers, and government counterparts to deliver operational advantages to the joint warfighter.

The ABMS is a top modernization priority for the Department of the Air Force, and this role will play a critical part in its development. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating a variety of familiar and unfamiliar technologies into orchestrated solutions, analyzing gaps in technology solutions, and designing paths to close them.

What You Will Do

  • Integrate a variety of familiar and unfamiliar technologies into orchestrated solutions
  • Analyze gaps in technology solutions and design paths to close them
  • Follow directions provided by team leaders in implementation and scope
  • Develop and follow installation, integration, and test procedures
  • Automate manual procedures
  • Document procedures in a clear and unambiguous manner
  • Demonstrate work to a variety of audiences
  • Participate in and contribute to the team's Agile ceremonies, including daily scrum, Sprint and Program Increment planning, and retrospective meetings
  • Help teammates achieve success in their tasking
  • Review work and provide actionable feedback to teammates

What We Are Looking For

  • BS degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Current and active Secret clearance
  • Clear communication in the technology domain solutions, design choices, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders verbally or in writing
  • Experience implementing solutions following the principles of RBAC, least-privilege, authentication and authorization, PKI and certificate management, secure networking and containerization, container image scanning
  • 1-3 years minimum experience with each of the following: IaC tools and frameworks Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible
  • Procedure automation using scripting technologies like Python, Linux shells, Windows PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their services (e.g., compute, storage, networking), VPC, subnets, VPN, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Version control tools (e.g., Git)
  • Experience with Container technologies: Kubernetes
  • Performance monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
