Job Description

About the Role

The Cloud Technical Consultant role at Infoplus Technologies is a pivotal position that involves working on cloud migration activities for various applications within the Integration & Output area. This includes communicating with third-party interfaces and providing Avaloq Services. The primary objective is to migrate all applicable systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in line with the company's Cloud Strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing, including migration strategies, to ensure seamless integration without impacting service levels.

Day-to-day, the successful candidate will engage in a variety of tasks, from collecting and listing interventions on applicative layers to planning and executing migration activities. The role is part of the CTO CH/FL team, which manages a portfolio of applicative systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in middleware skills, Java, Unix, and OCI, as well as experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Given the complexity of cloud migration and the potential for service disruptions, this role is critical to the success of Infoplus Technologies' cloud strategy. The candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that all migration activities are thoroughly planned and executed, minimizing risks and ensuring continuity of services.

What You Will Do

Collect and list all interventions to be applied on applicative layers as part of the cloud migration process.
Identify potential impacts and gaps on functional services that could arise from the migration and provide solutions to mitigate these risks.
Plan migration activities according to the cloud migration plan, ensuring that all tasks are executed in a timely and quality manner.
Execute the migration of applications to OCI, focusing on quality and adherence to the planned timeline.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth integration of migrated applications.
Conduct thorough testing to ensure that migrated applications function as expected without any disruptions.
Provide support and troubleshooting for any issues that may arise post-migration.
Continuously evaluate and improve the migration process to enhance efficiency and quality.
Develop and maintain documentation of migration activities, including plans, execution details, and test results.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that all migration activities align with business objectives and do not disrupt service levels.

What We Are Looking For

At least 5 years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud computing and migration.
Strong expertise in middleware skills, Java, Unix, and OCI.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Knowledge of cloud computing models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), deployment models (public, private, hybrid, multi-cloud), and key cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Fluency in English; Italian is a plus.
Avaloq certification is desirable but not mandatory.
Experience with cloud migration projects, preferably in a similar industry or context.
Ability to work remotely with strong self-management skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide innovative solutions.

Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL).
Previous experience working with global teams and clients.
Familiarity with security and compliance aspects of cloud computing.
