Job Description
About the Role
Become a vital part of SpaceX as a CMM Source Inspector, working remotely while ensuring that high-quality aerospace components meet stringent standards.Responsibilities
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts.
- Travel up to 75% to supplier sites for inspections.
- Utilize standard gauges to ensure quality and compliance.
- Inspect mechanical parts to verify adherence to design and specification.
- Review documentation for certifications and conformance.
- Report any non-conformances and support corrective action processes.
- Program and set up inspection tools such as Articulating Arm and CMMs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years in precision mechanical inspection.
- At least 3 years of experience in CMM programming and operations.
Nice to Have
- Aerospace inspection experience.
- Experience with quality management systems (AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Proficiency in PC-DMIS and Verisurf software.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings using GD&T principles.
