## About the Role As a Coffee Roaster at JDE Peet's, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high-quality production of Campos Coffee. Your day-to-day tasks will involve roasting coffee to the required sensory profile, working closely with other teams to meet production deadlines, and minimizing wastage. You will be part of a team that values quality, integrity, and long-term relationships with coffee producers, customers, and staff.

The role is based at Campos HQ in Banksmeadow, where you will work either a standard shift from Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, or a floater shift starting between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM and finishing between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Flexibility is essential, and occasional overtime may be required.

## What You Will Do - Roast coffee according to the required sensory profile - Work closely with other teams to ensure all roasts are ready in time - Minimize wastage and optimize production processes - Follow Safety and Quality protocols to maintain a high level of quality and safety - Learn about coffees (origins, roast profiles, tastes) from our coffee experts - Participate in regular cupping sessions to develop your sensory skills - Maintain a clean and organized workspace - Collaborate with the production team to achieve daily targets - Participate in ongoing training and development to improve your skills and knowledge

## What We Are Looking For - Detail-oriented and able to focus well, with minimal distractions - Open to doing repetitive work and committed to delivering high-quality results - Passionate about coffee and eager to learn and develop your skills - Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams - Physically fit and able to lift up to 24 kg - Valid AU working rights with unlimited working rights - Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime - Excellent communication and teamwork skills

## Nice to Have - Experience in coffee roasting or a related field - Knowledge of coffee origins, roast profiles, and sensory evaluation - Certification in coffee roasting or a related field - Experience with production management software
