About the Role
The college internship at Linc Worldwide is an unpaid internship that offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, and marketing. As an intern, you will be working closely with the Project Manager and other team members to assist with day-to-day activities, procedures, and project-focused tasks. This role is ideal for students pursuing studies in nonprofit management, child development, international development, business, marketing, or similar fields.The internship is primarily virtual, with potential in-person meetings, and requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team. You will have the opportunity to learn about nonprofit financial reports, fundraising strategies, and CRM management, making this a valuable experience for those looking to launch their career in the nonprofit sector.

What You Will Do
- Review the organization's handbook and policies to understand the inner workings of the nonprofit
- Work directly with CORE Volunteers to assist with daily operations and gain insight into the organization's activities
- Collaborate with the Event Planning Committee to contact businesses and individuals for financial and in-kind donations for fundraiser events
- Learn the organization's CRM features and assist the Account Manager with recording donations and updating donor profiles
- Research companies that match employee donations and fundraise for nonprofits to identify new opportunities for support
- Assist with donor relations by calling to thank donors and sending handwritten cards
- Pull reports from the CRM to track analytics of email marketing and direct mail campaigns
- Work with the Director of Child Sponsorship to plan, implement, and measure the response of the Child Sponsorship Program
- Attend nonprofit webinars and share learned content with the team to stay up-to-date with industry trends
- Stay informed about the Kenyan education system and current events to better understand the organization's work
- Gain knowledge on nonprofit financial reports and filing by working with the organization's CFO/Treasurer
- Research local philanthropy events where Linc Worldwide could present or network to expand the organization's reach
- Attend Linc Worldwide events, such as presentations and fundraiser events, to record, photograph, or provide support

- Enrolled college student pursuing studies in nonprofit management, child development, international development, business, marketing, or similar fields
- Experience with customer service and maintaining a professional setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
