About the Role
The Commercial Account Executive role at Gitlab is a critical position that involves managing a broad book of business across France. As the primary point of contact between Gitlab and its customers, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving the sales process, from initial discovery to close. This role requires a deep understanding of the customer's needs and the ability to articulate the value proposition of Gitlab's DevSecOps platform.The Commercial Account Executive will be working closely with the Regional Sales Director, business development, marketing, and technical teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software sales, with a proven track record of managing a varied book of business and guiding customers through the full buying journey.

What You Will Do
- Own a broad book of mid-market business in France, managing new prospects and growing existing accounts
- Manage the full sales cycle for prospects, from discovery and solution alignment to negotiation and close
- Support Gitlab prospects by clearly articulating the DevSecOps value proposition and aligning it to customer business outcomes
- Review wins and losses, contribute to root cause reviews, and communicate lessons learned to account managers, marketing, and technical teams
- Document and maintain accurate buying criteria, buying processes, next steps, and owners to ensure a reliable, evidence-based pipeline
- Contribute to improving the sales handbook and processes by documenting best practices and opportunities for refinement
- Provide account coordination and direction across pre- and post-sales, partnering closely with technical teams and customer success
- Represent the voice of the customer by contributing product feedback and ideas to the public issue tracker
