About the Role
The Commercial Account Executive - Named, Canada role at Gitlab is a key position that involves managing a portfolio of mid-market clients in Canada. What You Will Do
- Meet or exceed quota while fostering strong customer relationships
- Articulate the value of Gitlab to commercial prospects and customers in Canada
- Take ownership of and act as the CEO for the book of business in your territory
- Document the buying criteria & process, next steps & owners
- Build a strong pipeline through a healthy cadence of prospecting activity
- Prospect and close new business to expand your territory
- Ensure adoption of our solutions and avoid churn and contraction
- Work and collaborate with our Partner ecosystem to drive new business and value for our customers
- Create an accurate forecast for each quarter against your plan/budget
- Drive attendance to our events, which you will be part of to further network with current and prospective customers
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in sales or account management, preferably in the software or technology industry
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and sales principles
- Proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Adjust and Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Nice to Have
- Experience working with DevSecOps platforms or similar technologies
- Knowledge of AI-driven productivity tools and methodologies
- Certification in sales or marketing, such as HubSpot or Google Analytics
- Experience working in a remote team environment
