About the Role

The Commercial Account Manager position at Epic Insurance Brokers and Consultants is a remote opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional service to small business clients. As a key member of the account management team, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of tasks, from processing applications and policies to providing expert guidance on policy coverage and exclusions. With a strong focus on building trust and confidence with clients, you will be the primary point of contact for many of our valued customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance account management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality service and driving results. You will be working closely with our team of producers and account executives to ensure seamless delivery of our services and to identify new opportunities for growth and development.

What You Will Do

  • Process applications, policies, endorsements, and other related documents in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide expert guidance on policy coverage, exclusions, and related questions to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Conduct renewal processes, including exposure analysis, market comparisons, and negotiations with underwriters and wholesalers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and records
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, producers, and account executives
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and other materials to support business development efforts
  • Participate in meetings with prospective clients and internal stakeholders to drive growth and expansion
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our services
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices and procedures

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in insurance account management or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and services, including policy coverage and exclusions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Adjust and Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive results and growth
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or insurance

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with small business clients or in a related industry
  • Knowledge of marketing and sales principles, with the ability to contribute to business development efforts
  • Certification in insurance or a related field, such as CPCU or ARM
  • Experience with agency management systems and other insurance-related software
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and developments, with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
