About the Role
The Commercial Development Specialist plays a crucial role in driving the success of Henry Schein's Extended Warranty Program. This position involves working closely with internal teams, including Sales, Operations, Accounting, and IT, as well as external partners, to ensure the seamless execution of extended warranty orders and claims. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple tasks across various platforms. The Extended Warranty Program is a key aspect of Henry Schein's business, providing customers with comprehensive protection and support for their purchases. As a Commercial Development Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends, and developing strategic initiatives to drive program growth and improvement. The role is flexible/remote, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere while collaborating with a global team. - Support performance tracking by preparing forecasting reports and monitoring daily sales and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Monitor and audit extended warranty contracts from order initiation through service and claims resolution
- Own the monthly reporting process with insurance and manufacturing partners, ensuring data integrity and resolving discrepancies
- Oversee monthly data exchange and communication with approximately 14 vendors
- Assist in reviewing and validating extended warranty claims to ensure compliance with program terms and eligibility criteria
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies and provide billing support
- Support the creation and maintenance of rate sheets and SKU lists, including generating and managing item codes
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookups
- Familiarity with Power BI
- Good understanding of industry practices and standards
- Proficient with tools, systems, and procedures
- Basic planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Good decision-making, analysis, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, vendors, and customers
- Typically 2 to 4 or more years of increasing responsibility in a related professional experience
- Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in a related discipline
