Job Description

About the Role

The Commercial Lead North Africa is a pivotal role at Abbott, responsible for defining and executing the company's commercial strategy in the North African region. This includes developing and implementing sales and marketing plans, managing sales performance, and ensuring operational excellence. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager, French Speaking Africa Cluster Division, and will be responsible for leading a team of sales and marketing professionals.

The Commercial Lead North Africa will be based in Morocco and will be responsible for managing the company's commercial operations in Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco. This will involve developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and other stakeholders, as well as identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement the company's commercial strategy in North Africa, including sales and marketing plans

  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including developing and implementing strategies to drive market share growth

  • Develop and manage the company's sales and marketing budget, including forecasting and analyzing sales data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical, and regulatory affairs, to develop and execute commercial strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, including competitor activity, market research, and regulatory changes
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive operational excellence, including process improvements and cost savings

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or pharmaceutical sciences
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including experience in sales and marketing
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies, including sales and marketing plans
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience in analyzing sales data and developing forecasts
  • Proficiency in Excel and Adjust, as well as other sales and marketing software applications
