About the Role
The Commercial Operations Engineer role at GE Vernova is a unique opportunity to work on proposals, contract negotiations, and risk assessment strategies. What You Will Do
- Lead and coordinate commercial tasks related to proposals, working closely with application engineers and commercial leaders
- Draft commercial proposals in accordance with the internal proposal review process
- Coordinate with stakeholders to develop a project risk assessment and mitigation strategy
- Collaborate with the commercial leader to negotiate proposals with customers and identify deviations from standard commercial terms and conditions
- Ensure effective handover of contracts to the project execution team after order intake
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, application engineers, and other stakeholders
- Provide input and feedback on commercial processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Participate in regular review meetings to discuss sales results, progress, and challenges
What We Are Looking For
- Engineering degree, business school degree, or equivalent master's degree
- Strong knowledge of sales processes, contract negotiation, and risk management
- Fluency in French and English
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
- Ability to operate with autonomy and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with project management tools and software
- Knowledge of financial aspects, risk management, and contract taxation
