## About the Role The Commercial Title Examiner role at Stewart is a critical component of the company's title and settlement operations. As a title examiner, you will be responsible for searching public records and examining titles to determine the legal condition of properties. ## What You Will Do - Compile, investigate, and examine public and tax records to determine liabilities and legal condition of titles - Prepare accurate and comprehensive title commitments in accordance with company examining and policy procedures - Search public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of properties - Deed plot acreage tracts to ensure closure as well as examine acreage and commercial properties - Follow standard procedures and guidelines - Understand how assigned duties relate to others within the team and how the team integrates with related teams - Impact own team through the quality of the support provided - Recognize and solve typical problems; select solutions from established options - Communicate moderately complex information in routine situations, typically within own team - Work under general supervision with limited ability to modify approach - Manage own workload and prioritize tasks effectively - Perform all other duties as assigned by management

## What We Are Looking For - High school diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred - Typically requires 3+ years of related work experience - Experience with Data Trace, Title Data, Title Point, ResWare, Aim+, ATS, Digital Reel, TitleWorks, or SoftPro is a plus - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage own workload - Familiarity with back plants and how to search back to Patent - Solar, Windfarm, and Storage Tank Battery examination background desired but not required
