About the Role
The Commissioning Senior Manager plays a critical role in the success of Equinix's data center operations. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the commissioning of large-scale greenfield data centers and retrofit live data centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering and experience in managing complex technical projects.As a key member of the team, the Commissioning Senior Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including construction managers, vendors, and customers. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the commissioning process.

What You Will Do
- Develop and implement multi-facility, standards-based commissioning plans and schedules
- Provide input and suggestions on new and existing Critical Environment Programs
- Communicate effectively with both business operations and construction managers
- Manage regional, short- to medium-term pipeline management to inform resource planning
- Liaise with internal construction managers and external general contractors on the planning and execution of all commissioning activities
- Maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and other tools to track commissioning projects
- Develop electrical and mechanical Functional Performance Test procedures and Factory Acceptance Test Procedures
- Issue customer-facing reports and interact with key customers on progress against commissioning plans
- Act as a point of contact for customer escalations throughout the commissioning process
- Follow all commissioning processes and escalate any potential improvements to senior management
- Prepare comprehensive reports that include recommendations for optimizing building operations
What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of data center commissioning experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a mission-critical environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience with commissioning processes and protocols
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Experience with data analytics and metrics reporting
- Knowledge of vendor management and contract negotiation
