This will involve engagement with local communities, understanding their energy needs, and tailoring solutions that not only reduce their carbon footprint but also offer them a more economical energy alternative. The team context is highly collaborative, with an emphasis on sharing knowledge and expertise to drive innovation and efficiency in renewable energy solutions.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain relationships with local communities to identify potential for community solar projects
- Conduct thorough assessments of energy needs and propose tailored renewable energy solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the smooth implementation of community solar projects
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing projects to identify areas for improvement
- Engage in policy and regulatory discussions to advocate for community solar and renewable energy
- Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on the latest in renewable energy technology
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop outreach materials and campaigns that promote community solar projects
- Work closely with the finance team to secure funding for new and existing projects
- Develop and manage project budgets to ensure financial viability
- Coordinate with external partners and stakeholders to advance the mission of Common Energy
What We Are Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in renewable energy or sustainability
- Strong understanding of community solar projects and their benefits
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in project management, preferably in the energy sector
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in digital tools related to project management, data analysis, and communication
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, business, or engineering
- Certification in renewable energy or a related field is a plus
- Experience in policy advocacy or community outreach is desirable
Nice to Have
