About the Role

The Communications Manager at Braze is a pivotal role that leads regional communications strategy and execution across Asia-Pacific. This position drives awareness, thought leadership, and brand affinity for Braze, working closely with the global communications and regional marketing teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the APAC media landscape and strong storytelling instincts.

As a key member of the team, the Communications Manager will report to the Vice President of Communications and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that Braze's story is told with local relevance, cultural fluency, and global consistency. This role is ideal for a proactive, creative communicator who is passionate about elevating global brands across diverse markets.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute an integrated communications strategy across key APAC markets to drive awareness of Braze's leadership in AI, customer engagement, and marketing technology.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier media, analysts, and influencers across business, tech, and trade outlets in markets such as Singapore, Australia, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.
  • Collaborate closely with the communications lead in Japan to drive consistent messaging and regional amplification of global initiatives.
  • Localize and pitch global narratives for APAC audiences, ensuring messaging resonates within the region's diverse cultural, language, and business contexts.
  • Partner with global communications and local PR agency teams to drive consistent, impactful storytelling and regional amplification of global initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for Braze executives and regional leaders to engage in speaking engagements, media interviews, and industry panels.
  • Support development of talking points, bylines, op-eds, and contributed content that position Braze as a thought leader in customer engagement, personalization, and data-driven marketing.
  • Collaborate with global teams to craft narratives that highlight Braze's innovation, culture, and impact across APAC.
  • Partner with product marketing and customer marketing to surface compelling customer success stories and case studies from the region.
  • Support product announcements and launches with localized messaging, media outreach, and content tailored for the APAC audience.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, with a focus on media relations and storytelling.
  • Strong understanding of the APAC media landscape and experience working with top-tier media, analysts, and influencers.
  • Excellent storytelling instincts and ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with data-driven marketing and analytics.
  • Strong collaboration and project management skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content and presentations.
