About the Role
The Communications Manager role at Owens & Minor is a critical position that entails developing and executing communication initiatives to support organizational goals and strengthen teammate engagement. As a key member of the communications team, you will be responsible for creating compelling content and storytelling initiatives that showcase the company's culture, values, and achievements. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure consistency of messaging and branding.The role is primarily remote, with a preference for candidates based in or around Richmond, VA. As a Communications Manager, you will report to the Senior Manager of External Communications and will be an integral part of the company's efforts to promote its brand and reputation.

What You Will Do
- Execute strategic internal and external communication plans to support organizational priorities and business objectives
- Create compelling written content and storytelling initiatives to communicate company strategy, culture, and achievements
- Develop and maintain external communication materials to support company initiatives and brand visibility
- Support the development and coordination of external communications, including customer communications and public-facing messaging
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure consistency of messaging, branding, and communication strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project initiatives and goals
- Analyze and report on communication metrics to inform future strategies
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling content
- Experience with internal and external communications, including media relations and crisis communications
- Knowledge of digital communication channels, including social media and email marketing
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
Nice to Have
- Experience with communication metrics and analysis
- Knowledge of graphic design principles and video production
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as Asana or Trello
- Certification in communications or a related field
