Communications Manager, Policy & Public Affairs

## About the Role As a Communications Manager at Coinbase, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the company's narrative and driving strategic communications. You'll work closely with the policy and public affairs teams to develop and execute communications plans that promote Coinbase's mission and values. This role is critical in helping to build and maintain Coinbase's reputation as a leader in the crypto industry.

## What You Will Do - Develop and execute comprehensive communications plans to support Coinbase's policy and public affairs initiatives - Craft and pitch stories to national media outlets, securing coverage that promotes Coinbase's mission and values - Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, including journalists, editors, and producers - Collaborate with the policy team to develop and implement communications strategies that support Coinbase's regulatory and legislative goals - Create and disseminate key messages, talking points, and other communications materials to support Coinbase's narrative - Work closely with the executive team to develop and implement internal communications plans - Provide communications support for product launches, events, and other business initiatives - Analyze media coverage and provide insights to inform communications strategy - Develop and manage budgets for communications initiatives

## What We Are Looking For - Minimum 7 years of experience in communications, public affairs, or a related field - Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications plans - Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communications skills - Strong relationships with national media contacts - Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Ability to think strategically and creatively - Strong understanding of the crypto industry and its regulatory environment - Experience with social media and digital communications platforms - Bachelor's degree in communications, public affairs, or a related field

## Nice to Have - Experience working in the tech industry - Familiarity with Excel and other data analysis tools - Experience with crisis communications and reputation management - Knowledge of regulatory and legislative issues affecting the crypto industry
