About the Role

The Community Growth Analyst is a critical role at Reddit, sitting at the heart of the company's growth engine. As a highly cross-functional position, this analyst will work closely with Community Marketing, Data Science, UXR, Success, and Growth teams to develop and implement data-driven strategies for community expansion. With a strong focus on analytics and community insights, this role is essential for driving business decisions and ensuring Reddit's continued growth and success.

The Community Strategy and Insights team provides the necessary dashboards, reports, and analytical consulting to help the organization understand community behavior. As a Community Growth Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying levers for community expansion, moderation health, and contributor retention. You will work closely with various teams to decode the complex ecosystem of Reddit and ensure that growth strategies are data-driven and community-aligned.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the dedicated data partner for the Community Growth and Marketing teams, providing analytical consulting and translating business questions into structured projects.
  • Build and maintain automated dashboards to track the lifecycle of communities, from creation to maturity.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify patterns in moderation, contribution, and engagement that correlate with long-term community health.
  • Partner with Data Science to ensure community metrics are aligned with company-wide North Star metrics.
  • Deliver regular reports to leadership, quantifying the impact of community initiatives.
  • Design, track, and analyze the results of community-facing experiments, ensuring quick learning and scaling of effective strategies.
  • Collaborate with Community Lifecycle teams to develop and implement community growth strategies.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for community growth and development.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement community-focused initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

  • 4-7 years of experience in data analytics, growth marketing, or community insights.
  • Expert-level SQL skills and proficiency in databases, data visualization tools, and CRM (e.g., BigQuery, HubSpot, Zendesk, Salesforce).
  • Experience with Python or R for deeper statistical analysis is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive business decisions through data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to identify levers for community expansion and growth.
  • Experience working with large datasets and developing data-driven insights.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with community-focused platforms and tools (e.g., Discord, Facebook Groups).
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and natural language processing.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
