Job Description

About the Role

The Community Manager at Pavago will play a crucial role in overseeing and engaging a private entrepreneur community of approximately 160 members. This involves actively managing and participating in daily conversations within Slack, maintaining a professional, welcoming, and upbeat tone across all interactions. The goal is to foster collaboration and meaningful peer-to-peer relationships within the community, which is essential for the community's growth and success.

As a Community Manager, day-to-day tasks will include monitoring and tracking community engagement metrics, such as participation levels, connections made, and event attendance. This data will be used to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase community engagement. The Community Manager will also be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing member-facing events, such as retreats, dinners, and meetups.

The Community Manager will be part of a dynamic team and will report to a senior manager. The team's goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment for entrepreneurs to connect, share ideas, and grow their businesses.

What You Will Do

  • Actively manage and participate in daily conversations within Slack
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming, and upbeat tone across all interactions
  • Foster collaboration and meaningful peer-to-peer relationships within the community
  • Conduct regular member check-ins to assess satisfaction and gather feedback
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute member-facing events, such as retreats, dinners, and meetups
  • Monitor and track community engagement metrics, including participation levels, connections made, and event attendance
  • Manage satisfaction surveys through tools such as Typeform and email
  • Take ownership of community health by identifying gaps and implementing solutions without direct supervision
  • Collaborate with the team to create content and events that meet the community's needs
  • Analyze data and metrics to inform community management decisions

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in community management or a related field
  • Strong digital skills, including experience with Slack and other community management tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with event planning and execution
  • Knowledge of community management best practices and trends
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

Nice to Have

  • Experience with community management software, such as Higher Logic or Mobilize
  • Knowledge of marketing and communications principles
  • Experience with content creation, such as writing or video production
  • Familiarity with entrepreneur communities and startup ecosystems
