About the Role

The Compensation Lead role at Affirm is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and analytical skills. As a key member of the People team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end administration of compensation systems, conducting market research, and analyzing data to inform business decisions. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including senior leaders, HR professionals, and external partners, to ensure that Affirm's compensation structures are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company's mission and values.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's growth and success by developing and implementing effective compensation strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. You will be responsible for managing the semi-annual compensation review process, conducting market studies, and analyzing data to identify trends and insights that inform business decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the end-to-end administration of Affirm's compensation systems, including Radford and Pave
  • Develop and participate in annual compensation studies to evaluate Affirm's competitive market positioning
  • Conduct special projects for ad hoc compensation analyses across various areas, including incentive compensation, equity programs, and pay equity analyses
  • Own the pay reporting process for various geographies supported by Affirm
  • Assist with compensation training and communications to ensure that all employees understand the company's compensation structures and policies
  • Collaborate with HR professionals and senior leaders to develop and implement effective compensation strategies that align with the company's mission and values
  • Analyze data and market trends to inform business decisions and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including compensation consultants and survey providers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in compensation management

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation or people analytics
  • Experience with compensation management systems, preferably Pave
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn raw data into actionable insights
  • Attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively
  • Ability to work effectively across internal teams, including HR, finance, and senior leadership
  • Strong judgment and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Proven ability to work on problems of diverse scope, with the ability to evaluate identifiable factors and develop effective solutions

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to compensation management
  • Certification in compensation management, such as CCP or CECP
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
