About the Role
The Compensation Program Manager role at Stripe is a critical position that involves designing and scaling the company's global compensation strategy. As a key member of the Total Rewards team, the successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that Stripe's compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company's overall business objectives.The role entails developing and managing global compensation programs, conducting research and analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends, and collaborating with various teams to ensure that compensation strategies are aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of compensation best practices, current market trends, and the ability to analyze complex data to inform business decisions.
What You Will Do
- Develop and manage global compensation programs, including designing and implementing new programs and processes
- Conduct research and analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends and market benchmark data
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that compensation strategies are aligned with business goals
- Build and maintain complex models using Excel and Google Sheets to analyze compensation data
- Develop and implement communication plans to educate managers and employees on compensation programs
- Partner with People Operations to configure and enhance business processes, compensation rule plans, and equity programs
- Continually evaluate compensation programs to ensure they are legally compliant, competitive, and aligned with the company's overall compensation philosophy
- Manage and analyze complex datasets to distill insights and convey findings
- Support the planning and administration of the annual compensation cycle for all global employees
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in compensation, including developing and managing global compensation programs
- Strong understanding of compensation best practices, current compensation trends, and market benchmark data
- Proven analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and inform business decisions
- Experience communicating effectively across diverse teams, including translating complex ideas and quantitative insights into digestible information
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple high priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong knowledge of Workday
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

- Experience with AI-powered tools and automation
- Involvement in equity-administration processes in coordination with Equity Management and/or People Operations teams
