Job Description

## About the Role As a Compliance Operations Specialist 1 at Twilio, you will be at the heart of ensuring that the company's platform is used in a legal, compliant, and wanted manner. This involves monitoring the use of Twilio products, including voice, SMS, and email, to identify and mitigate any fraudulent activity. ## What You Will Do - Investigate cases of non-compliance quickly and efficiently, performing analysis to understand bad actor behavior.

  • Protect Twilio customers and consumers through ongoing identification of bad actors and non-compliant activity.
  • Identify trends, root cause gaps, and recommend appropriate preventative solutions.
  • Use call detail records and aggregate traffic data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Resolve urgent issues impacting businesses, carriers, and consumers worldwide.
  • Detect and prevent non-compliant activity using Twilio's tools and your own investigative powers.
  • Provide support for customers by email to ensure an excellent experience with Twilio.
  • Stay updated with regulatory requirements and industry trends to ensure compliance.
## What We Are Looking For - 1-2 years of experience in fraud, abuse, or compliance in ecommerce, FinTech, or telecommunications.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a strong bias for action.
  • Empathetic with a love for working with customers and internal teams.
  • Excellent research and investigation skills.
  • Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
## Nice to Have - Experience with AI tools for fraud detection and prevention.
  • Knowledge of CTIA requirements and industry standards for compliance.
  • Certification in compliance or a related field.
  • Experience working in a remote-first company.
