About the Role
As a Concussion Care Telemedicine Nurse Practitioner at OpenLoop, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients experiencing concussions and related neurocognitive conditions. You will work collaboratively with a supervising physician to assess, diagnose, and manage patients through individualized treatment plans, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. This fully remote position allows you to maintain a flexible weekday schedule while making a significant impact on patients' lives.The role entails working closely with patients dealing with conditions such as concussions, migraines, vertigo, tinnitus, long COVID, and more. You will be part of a team dedicated to driving positive patient outcomes, and your expertise in neurology and chronic pain management will be invaluable in this context. What You Will Do
- Conduct HIPAA-compliant telehealth consultations to assess patient conditions and develop personalized treatment plans
- Review patient health histories and relevant clinical data to inform your decisions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for neurocognitive and chronic pain conditions
- Perform follow-up visits to evaluate progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Provide clear patient education and clinical guidance to ensure patients understand their conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record
- Serve as a consulting clinician focused on driving positive patient outcomes
- Collaborate closely with a supervising physician in accordance with state and practice guidelines
- Demonstrate empathy, active listening, and patient advocacy in every interaction
- Utilize telehealth technology confidently and assist patients with basic troubleshooting when needed
What We Are Looking For
- Current national NP certification (ANCC, AANP, or equivalent)
- Active state licenses in Maryland and New York (Pennsylvania is a plus)
- 1-3 years of experience in neurology, chronic pain management, psychiatry, or ENT
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based practice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of comfort with telehealth technology
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach to care
Nice to Have
- Experience with Adjust and Excel for efficient patient data management
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and their integration into patient care
- Certification in a relevant specialty, such as neurology or pain management
