About the Role

The Connected Devices Project Manager will play a crucial role in managing medium to large multi-regional projects that are stand-alone or full-service in scope, across all phases of clinical studies. This highly visible business unit is closely connected to other trial delivery teams within IQVIA, working closely with technology partners and sponsor partners to help speed therapies to market in a global network. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all project work is completed to the sponsor's satisfaction, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, preferably within the clinical research industry, and a proven track record of delivering projects to a high standard. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential, as the role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication with sponsors.

What You Will Do

  • Set up, plan, implement, and deliver projects in accordance with the agreed Scope of Work
  • Serve as primary contact for sponsors, ensuring communication is maintained and reporting schedules are adhered to
  • Prepare and present project information at internal and external meetings
  • Drive resource planning and support the project team to ensure adequate resourcing throughout the project life cycle
  • Monitor and manage efforts of cross-functional project teams
  • Track and supervise project progress, identifying and evaluating project risks and taking corrective action as necessary
  • Coordinate preparation of customer reports on activities and project progress
  • Ensure consistency in all deliverables for a given sponsor, maintaining high-quality standards
  • Participate in the budgeting process, liaising with Resource Managers throughout Operational Services
  • Ensure effective management of third-party sub-contractors involved in the project
  • Conduct an 'End of Project' Review Meeting to ensure all project activities are completed and senior management is informed of key learning points

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree in Life Science, Business Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' direct experience in Project Management within the CRO industry or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Knowledge of the CRO industry and Microsoft Excel, Word, and costing models
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prepare and interpret budgets, prioritize tasks, and establish effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients
  • Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving abilities

  • Familiarity with clinical research services, commercial insights, and healthcare intelligence
  • Certification in project management or a related field
