About the Role
As a Consulting Manager at 3Cloud, you will play a critical role in driving project success and team growth. You will be responsible for providing support to the Global Delivery Center (GDC) team members, ensuring engagement success and effective people management. This will involve collaborating with GDC Leadership, GDC Operations, and Resource Management to provide optimized project staffing and maintain proper GDC delivery team utilization.The GDC Consulting Manager will report to the Senior Consulting Manager of the Global Delivery Center organization. This role is key to maintaining proper GDC delivery team utilization and maximizing revenues. You will oversee small concurrent client projects, managing risk, escalations, and issue resolution, while also mentoring staff in Agile methodologies and best practices in project management.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with GDC Consulting Operations to identify and assign project resources to client engagements
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders that characterize partnership, cooperation, and trust
- Manage own projects where required
- Oversee small concurrent client projects while maintaining oversight to identify risk, escalations, and issue resolution
- Manage and resolve escalations between the project, client, or other internal organizations in a satisfactory manner
- Oversee resource planning and coordination of project activities between client and internal/external resources needed to accomplish strategic business goals
- Mentor staff in Agile methodologies and best practices in project management to enhance project delivery
- Provide teams with clear understanding of responsibilities, accountabilities, and growth plan by communicating and managing work assignments, training, and performance appraisals
- Ensure that bench time for Consultants is used to improve skills in line with Practice technology roadmaps
- Monitor the alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives
- Solicit feedback from Delivery Owners of engagements where GDC team members are aligned
- Conduct interviews of prospective GDC candidates
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of demonstrated client relationship skills and experience setting and managing client expectations
- Strong verbal and writing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively up to Executive Levels
- Extensive experience aligning diverse teams across multiple locations to deliver projects in alignment with project commitments
- Has a strong potential to work collaboratively with the GDC Leadership team
- Deep, professional knowledge in internal stakeholder management, people management, and software project delivery
- Ability to lay out sound work plans and resolve competing trade-offs
- Ability to manage up to 20 people and provide guidance on their career development
- Ability to remain composed during challenging and critical situations
- Demonstrated experience in Agile best practices and delivery methodologies
Nice to Have
- Experience working with sales and solutioning stakeholders on staffing and timeline commitments and ensuring alignment in expectations
- Knowledge of Java development, software engineering, or data and analytics
- Certification in project management or Agile methodologies
