Day-to-day, the Content Lead will navigate the complexities of the APAC market, working closely with regional teams to understand local needs, preferences, and trends. Strong cross-functional collaboration is essential, as the Content Lead will work with global content, Product Marketing, Communications, Global Affairs, Brand, and Creative teams to align content strategies and ensure regional relevance.

The Content Lead reports to a senior manager within the content organization and is responsible for managing external agencies, freelancers, localization partners, and production resources as needed. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage complex projects, and make strategic decisions that align with Openai's overall mission and objectives.

## What You Will Do - Develop and execute APAC content strategy across priority audiences, markets, campaigns, launches, and regional moments.

  • Build an editorial roadmap that connects global marketing priorities with APAC opportunities and content gaps.
  • Create high-quality content, including stories, narratives, campaign assets, event content, educational materials, customer and builder proof points, and executive-facing materials.
  • Partner with various teams to ensure content accuracy, distinctiveness, and regional relevance.
  • Establish repeatable processes for content intake, prioritization, review, localization, production, and performance measurement.
  • Identify and elevate compelling APAC stories from customers, developers, startups, partners, and communities.
  • Advise regional stakeholders on audience needs, content formats, editorial trade-offs, and opportunities to improve resonance and leverage.
  • Manage external vendors and resources, ensuring high-quality deliverables and effective budget management.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about APAC market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with global teams to share best practices, ensure consistency, and leverage global resources.
## What We Are Looking For - 10+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial strategy, brand storytelling, integrated marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience owning content strategy for a region, business line, or complex portfolio in technology or another fast-moving category.
  • Exceptional editorial judgment and communication skills, with a track record of improving narratives and execution quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate global strategy into effective regional content across diverse audiences or markets.
  • Strong cross-functional experience with marketing, communications, product, creative, and senior business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build scalable content processes and make thoughtful prioritization decisions in ambiguous environments.
  • Comfort operating across strategic planning and hands-on content shaping.
  • Strong understanding of APAC markets, including cultural nuances, consumer behaviors, and regulatory environments.
  • Experience with content management systems, project management tools, and data analytics platforms.
