About the Role

The Content Strategist is a client-facing role that plays a crucial part in delivering day-to-day client deliverables, creating and managing custom client strategies, and communicating with both clients and internal stakeholders. As a key member of the team, the Content Strategist will work closely with the Associate Director to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that drive real results.

The role is centered around strategic excellence and best practices, with a focus on creating and implementing custom strategies that drive client success. The Content Strategist will use project phase as a foundational moment for building the initial client strategy, but will also use the client's overall marketing goals, current and ongoing campaigns, and historical performance to optimize and revise strategies over the lifetime of the client.

Directive's methodology, DiscoverabilityOS, aligns brand and demand to guide the ideal customer profile to choose the brand across every decision point. The Content Strategist will be responsible for understanding and applying this methodology to deliver tailored solutions for clients.

What You Will Do

  • Create and manage custom client strategies that drive real results
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with client goals
  • Analyze data from Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to inform strategy and optimize performance
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of projects
  • Work closely with the Associate Director to develop and implement strategies
  • Use project phase as a foundational moment for building the initial client strategy
  • Optimize and revise strategies over the lifetime of the client based on performance data
  • Develop and manage content campaigns that drive engagement and conversion
  • Collaborate with content writers and designers to complete content campaigns for clients on time
  • Ensure the quality of work meets client standards

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop insights to inform strategy
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of content marketing principles and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

  • Experience with LTV:CAC modeling and customer generation
  • Knowledge of share of SERP and content production
  • Experience with content management systems and marketing automation tools
  • Certification in Google Analytics or related fields
