About the Role

The Content Writer position at Headout is a unique opportunity to leverage your writing, editing, and research skills to create high-quality content that drives user bookings and conversions. As a key member of the content team, you will work closely with SEO specialists, marketers, and business and growth teams to develop and implement a content strategy that resonates with users. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include researching destinations, analyzing user intent, writing, editing, and optimizing content to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and relevance.

What You Will Do

  • Research and write high-quality content on various travel destinations and experiences
  • Edit and optimize content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and relevance to user intent
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a content strategy
  • Analyze user feedback and performance data to refine content and improve user engagement
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the travel industry, user trends, and market developments
  • Create content that supports discovery, comparison, and conversion, driving user bookings and revenue growth
  • Own the full content lifecycle, from research and planning to writing, editing, and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with SEO specialists to optimize content for search engines and improve visibility
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in content creation and marketing
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new content ideas and approaches

What We Are Looking For

  • 1-2 years of content writing, editorial, or SEO writing experience across digital formats
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, useful content
  • Excellent editorial judgment, with a sharp eye for structure, tone, accuracy, and consistency
  • Ability to adapt tone, structure, and messaging across different page types and user goals
  • Basic understanding of on-page SEO and how content supports discovery, comparison, and conversion
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent fact-checking and proofreading habits
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work cross-functionally, and take responsibility for content beyond publication
  • Comfort using data and feedback to iterate and improve content over time
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or Google Keyword Planner

Nice to Have

  • Experience writing for digital products, startups, travel, live entertainment, or e-commerce brands
  • Familiarity with SEO, CRO, or performance marketing concepts
  • Ability to tailor voice and structure across formats and audiences
