About the Role
Join ArenaNet as a Contract Senior Gameplay Animator, where you'll play a pivotal role in creating AAA animations for compelling characters and creatures.Responsibilities
- Create engaging animations for various character combat and movement.
- Collaborate closely with the design team to refine gameplay mechanics.
- Develop content and fine-tune gameplay pipelines and systems.
- Work with the Animation Lead, Art Director, and other teams to maintain a cohesive animation style.
- Collaborate with Tech Art to improve character rigging and animation processes.
- Utilize both keyframe animation and motion capture techniques to develop animations.
- Participate in team playtests, providing insights and feedback.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Gameplay Animator in the gaming industry.
- Expertise in keyframing gameplay animations at a high standard.
- Strong grasp of gameplay kinetics and animation systems.
- Proficiency in Maya and familiarity with UE5 animation workflows.
- Ability to solve complex problems creatively.
Nice to Have
- Experience with motion capture data implementation.
- Past collaborations with multidisciplinary teams in game development.
