Job Description

About the Role

As a Contract Talent Acquisition Sourcer at Gitlab, you will play a crucial role in building strong candidate pipelines for the sales team in the APAC region. This is a fully remote, distributed company, and you will be responsible for finding and engaging passive talent for sales roles. You will partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and business leaders to understand hiring needs and local market dynamics. Your research, outreach, and judgment will directly influence hiring outcomes, and you will help strengthen sourcing practices by mapping talent markets, building pipelines, and improving how we identify and connect with great candidates.

The role entails working in a highly outbound capacity, using LinkedIn, online research, events, and other channels to source and engage passive candidates. You will be expected to build representative candidate pipelines with a focus on identifying talent from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Your ability to work in a values-driven, asynchronous environment will be essential to your success in this role.

What You Will Do

  • Source and engage passive candidates for sales roles across the APAC region using various outbound channels.
  • Build representative candidate pipelines with a focus on identifying talent from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, business priorities, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Map talent markets and gather intelligence on competitors, locations, and candidate pools to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Assess candidate alignment for specific roles, teams, and Gitlab's values, and share clear recommendations with recruiting partners.
  • Screen and qualify candidates, building and maintaining talent benches across multiple countries in the APAC region.
  • Deliver a strong candidate experience through thoughtful outreach, timely communication, and professional relationship building.
  • Continuously improve sourcing workflows, outreach approaches, and research methods to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain accurate activity and candidate data in applicant tracking and recruiting systems.

What We Are Looking For

  • Relevant experience in recruiting and/or sourcing, preferably in the sales or technology industry.
  • Strong research and outreach skills, with the ability to engage passive candidates.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a distributed environment and manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Strong understanding of the APAC region and its talent markets.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruiting software.
