About the Role

As a Contract Talent Acquisition Sourcer at Gitlab, you will be responsible for sourcing and engaging passive candidates for sales roles across the AMER region. This is a fully remote, distributed company, and you will work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and business leaders to understand hiring needs and local market dynamics. Your research, outreach, and judgment will directly influence hiring outcomes, and you will help strengthen sourcing practices by mapping talent markets, building pipelines, and improving how we identify and connect with great candidates.

What You Will Do

  • Source and engage passive candidates for sales roles across the AMER region using LinkedIn, online research, events, and other outbound channels.
  • Build representative candidate pipelines with a focus on identifying talent from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, business priorities, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Map talent markets and gather intelligence on competitors, locations, and candidate pools to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Assess candidate alignment for specific roles, teams, and Gitlab's values, and share clear recommendations with recruiting partners.
  • Screen and qualify candidates, building and maintaining talent benches across multiple countries in the AMER region to ensure strong pipeline depth and readiness for evolving business needs.
  • Deliver a strong candidate experience through thoughtful outreach, timely communication, and professional relationship building.
  • Continuously improve sourcing workflows, outreach approaches, and research methods to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain accurate activity and candidate data in applicant tracking and recruiting systems, and stay open to learning new tools and processes.

What We Are Looking For

  • Relevant experience in recruiting and/or sourcing, including direct experience sourcing passive candidates in a fully outbound environment.
  • Experience sourcing for Account Executive and other sales roles, ideally within the software industry.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers.
  • Ability to work in a remote, distributed team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Knowledge of the software industry and current trends in sales and recruitment.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruiting software.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
