About the Role

The Contracts Manager role at GE Vernova is a critical position that requires expertise in government and commercial contracts. As a subject matter expert, the successful candidate will provide contract leadership and guidance to project teams across the Power Conversion and Storage portfolio. This role entails working closely with commercial teams, customers, and project managers to ensure full compliance with contract terms and relevant government regulations.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include analyzing proposals, reviewing contracts, and providing support and guidance to project teams during contract execution. The Contracts Manager will also be responsible for overseeing program property management needs and serving as the focal point for contract-specific tasks, such as contract property disposition and closeout.

What You Will Do

  • Support proposal activities, including analyzing Requests for Proposals and ensuring proper contract reviews and compliance matrices are completed
  • Partner closely with commercial teams and customers to assure a clear understanding of contract terms and regulations
  • Provide support and guidance to project teams during contract execution to ensure full compliance with contract terms and regulations
  • Develop innovative approaches to problem-solving and solutions to contracting issues
  • Support sourcing with preparation of flow-down packages for sub-contractors/suppliers and managing sub-contractors/suppliers during contract execution
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, DEARS, and other commercial and government flow-down requirements in subcontracts and contracts
  • Establish records for government property and maintain the property tracking system
  • Perform regular audits of the property management system in accordance with company procedures and government regulations
  • Coordinate the physical inventory of property and reconcile results to ensure compliance with FAR 52.245
  • Provide periodic accountability reports to internal and external customers as required to support contractual requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in government and commercial contract formation and execution
  • US Citizen, with the ability to obtain necessary security clearances
  • Domain expertise with Commercial terms and conditions, UCC, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and DoD FAR Supplement
  • Experience with various contract types, including Firm Fixed Price and Cost Plus Fixed Fee contracts
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate contractual language
  • Professional certification by the NCMA, NPMA, or US government contracts
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Nice to Have

  • Power industry contracting experience, with direct interface with commercial and government customers or prime contractors
  • Extensive knowledge of contract formation and regulations
  • Experience administering or executing a FAR 52.245 compliant government property management system
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build solid relationships with others
