About the Role

The Contracts & Pricing Strategy Senior Manager will play a vital role in developing and executing the provider contracting strategy for Amgen's denosumab brands. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic insights, innovative pricing and contracting solutions, and nimble execution to create a competitive advantage. As a key member of the team, you will lead provider contracting strategy and execution, partner with field-based account management teams, and collaborate with contract development, coverage, and pricing execution teams.

The role is part of Amgen's sales and marketing operations team, which is responsible for driving business growth and improving patient outcomes. You will report to a senior manager and work closely with other teams, including legal, finance, and account management. Your expertise in contract management and pricing strategy will help inform business decisions and drive results.

What You Will Do

  • Lead provider contracting strategy and execution for denosumab brands, including bone and oncology providers
  • Partner with field-based account management teams to support customer engagements and gather insights
  • Collaborate with contract development, coverage, and pricing execution teams to develop and implement contracting strategies
  • Analyze contract performance, customer feedback, market intelligence, and competitive dynamics to inform contracting recommendations
  • Coordinate cross-functional responses to contract performance issues, competitive response needs, and customer questions
  • Oversee proposal development, approval routing, and execution of documents, including tear sheets, notices, and agreements
  • Drive provider insights and analysis for denosumab strategic planning, QBRs, forecasts, LEDR, and LRS
  • Track competitor activity in the provider space and support KPI monitoring
  • Routinely interact with senior leadership and other high-level, cross-functional committees or teams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders; proactively seek buy-in and provide ongoing support to address business needs

What We Are Looking For

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, contracting, pricing, finance, accounting, analytics, healthcare, or sales operations
  • Master's degree and 4 years of experience in sales, marketing, contracting, pricing, finance, accounting, analytics, healthcare, or sales operations
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in sales, marketing, contracting, pricing, finance, accounting, analytics, healthcare, or sales operations
  • Associate's degree and 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, contracting, pricing, finance, accounting, analytics, healthcare, or sales operations
  • High school diploma/GED and 12 years of experience in sales, marketing, contracting, pricing, finance, accounting, analytics, healthcare, or sales operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools

  • Knowledge of the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
  • Certification in contract management or a related field
