Cookie Delivery Driver

About the Role

The delivery driver role is a key part of Insomnia Cookies' success, as it ensures that customers receive their orders promptly and in good condition. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, navigating through traffic and construction to deliver orders to customers across Hamilton. As a delivery driver, you will also be responsible for maintaining the company vehicle, ensuring that it is clean and in good working condition.

What You Will Do

• Check orders for quality and accuracy before they leave the store
• Deliver cookies, milk, and ice cream to customers in a timely and safe fashion
• Provide quality customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers
• Use Insomnia's delivery app to approved company standards and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain the company vehicle, ensuring that it is clean and in good working condition
• Navigate through traffic and construction to deliver orders to customers across Hamilton
• Handle customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that orders are fulfilled efficiently
• Participate in ongoing training and development to improve customer service and delivery skills
• Maintain a high level of knowledge about Insomnia Cookies' products and services

What We Are Looking For

• Must own a vehicle and have insurance in your own name
• Must have a recent, clear driver's abstract from MTO
• Must have a minimum G2 with 2 years driving experience
• Must read and write fluent English and be able to perform simple math calculations for purposes of customer payments
• Knowledge of the 5KM radius around Hamilton is a plus
• Must have a lit topper on the car while on the clock
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with customers in a positive and professional manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and navigate through traffic and construction
• Basic knowledge of Excel and ability to use Insomnia's delivery app

Nice to Have

• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a customer-facing role
• Knowledge of the food delivery industry and Insomnia Cookies' products and services
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
