About the Role
The Corporate Security Operations Manager is a critical role at Openai, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day physical security operations of the London office. This involves developing and implementing effective security strategies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. What You Will Do
- Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for the London office, including access control, visitor management, and incident response
- Manage security vendors and guard forces, ensuring high-quality services and adherence to contract terms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and protocols
- Conduct regular security risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvement
- Lead local incident response efforts, including documentation, after-action reviews, and corrective actions
- Partner with Workplace and Facilities teams to ensure seamless security operations
- Manage security-related budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions
- Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services
- Coordinate security planning for in-office events, leadership visits, and business travel
- Drive emergency preparedness efforts, including evacuation and muster processes, tabletop exercises, and drills
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in corporate security, protective services, law enforcement, military, or a related field
- Proven track record of managing security operations in a modern corporate environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and guard force operations with measurable outcomes
- Strong incident leadership skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience in influencing without friction
- Business-level English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with global teams
- Experience with access control systems, CCTV, and other security technologies
- Familiarity with UK security regulations and laws
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a technology or AI-related industry
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001
- Certification in security management, such as CPP or PSP
