About the Role

The Corporate Strategic Solutions Director role is a critical position within the Strategic Alliance Group at Compass Group, focused on driving client retention and growth through strategic engagement and relationship management. As a key driver of organic growth, this role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in strategic planning, client management, and contract negotiation. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, sales, and marketing teams to develop and implement client retention strategies, manage overhead budgets, and lead contract extension and re-negotiation processes.

The role is based near a major airport in the Mid-West region, with up to 50-60% travel required. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the foodservice industry, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record in client retention and growth.

As part of the Strategic Alliance Group, the Corporate Strategic Solutions Director will play a key role in shaping the company's growth strategy, developing and maintaining client relationships, and driving business results.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement client retention strategies to drive business growth and revenue
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key clients, operators, and field support teams
  • Conduct strategic client interviews and fresh eyes reviews to identify areas for improvement
  • Work with operations teams to develop and implement process improvements and innovations
  • Lead contract extension and re-negotiation processes to ensure client retention and revenue growth
  • Manage overhead budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Develop and maintain multi-level client contacts to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement sales strategies and marketing campaigns
  • Analyze financial data and market trends to inform business decisions and drive growth

What We Are Looking For

  • BA or BS degree in a relevant field (business, marketing, hospitality, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a strategic or management role within the foodservice industry
  • Proven track record in client retention and growth, with a strong understanding of the industry and market trends
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret financial data, with experience in managing budgets and costs
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in using CRM software and other relevant tools
