## About the Role As a Counsel, Leasing & Operational Professional Services at Stripe, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's global operations and growth. You will be responsible for structuring and negotiating complex commercial real estate leases, subleases, and operational vendor contracts. Your expertise will help enable the business to achieve its ambitious roadmap while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and risk management. As a key member of this team, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Workplace, Real Estate, Finance, and Corporate Security. Your work will have a direct impact on the company's ability to operate efficiently and effectively, and you will be rewarded with a unique and fulfilling experience. ## What You Will Do - Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate leases, subleases, licenses to occupy, lease amendments, and ancillary real property agreements across global jurisdictions.

  • Develop and implement contract management processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with lease obligations, landlord/tenant matters, and operational service arrangements.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior business leaders on legal, real estate, and operational vendor matters.
  • Partner with key client groups, including Workplace, Real Estate, Finance, and Corporate Security, to deliver exceptional results.
  • Manage global outside counsel relationships and act as a responsive point of escalation for outside counsel.
  • Identify and evaluate business and legal risks across lease obligations, landlord/tenant matters, and operational service arrangements.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement of tools, processes, training, and playbooks to help manage high-volume workstreams.
  • Ensure Stripe's commercial relationships comply with applicable law, Stripe's data privacy and security policies, global privacy regulations, and global outsourced services guidelines.
  • Effectively distill and explain complex issues to a variety of cross-functional stakeholders.
## What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate leasing, contract management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, leasing laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
