About the Role
As a Telehealth Counselor at Pinnacle Treatment Centers, you will be at the forefront of transforming lives through compassionate care. This role is not just about providing treatment; it's about being part of a journey towards recovery and wellness. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be centered around ensuring that patients receive the care and support they need, through comprehensive treatment plans and continuous support.The Telehealth Counselor position is crucial in our team, as it requires a deep understanding of substance use disorders and the ability to connect with patients remotely. You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals who are dedicated to providing patient-centered care.
What You Will Do
- Ensure the completion of patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other essential documentation.
- Provide patients with orientation regarding the objectives of the program, phase system requirements, rules, regulations, sanctions, hours of service, patient rights, and additional information to help patients adjust to the program.
- Assess and place each patient according to the treatment phases in accordance with Federal and State standards and agency policies.
- Keep all patient files organized and updated for use by both you and the agency.
- Counsel patients in crisis situations, identifying patient resources and coping abilities to help patients cope with and resolve crisis.
- Counsel patients who have refused to comply with specific program requirements to increase patient awareness of the consequences of noncompliance.
- Arrange referrals to other agencies and resources in the community when appropriate.
- Perform treatment plan reviews and participate in case conferences and case reviews.
- Develop and increase knowledge of federal, state, and agency regulations regarding confidentiality, methadone treatment, and substance abuse counseling certification.
- Submit all internal and external correspondence to your supervisor for review and approval.
