About the Role
As a Courier at FedEx Australia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of packages to customers across Darwin. You will be the face of the company, interacting with customers and providing exceptional service. The role is full-time, with consistent weekday shifts and no weekends, offering a great work-life balance.The transport industry is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and as a Courier, you will need to be adaptable and able to think on your feet. What You Will Do
- Deliver packages to customers across Darwin in a timely and efficient manner
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
- Operate a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all road rules and regulations
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring that they are handled with care
- Scan packages and update delivery status using a handheld device
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle, reporting any issues to the maintenance team
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve daily delivery targets
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge
What We Are Looking For
- Full working rights in Australia
- Transport industry experience, preferably as a courier or driver
- Valid MR licence with a clean driving history (maximum 6 demerit points in the past 3 years)
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening, driving assessment, and fitness evaluation
- Positive attitude and customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages, up to 25kg
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures
Nice to Have
- Experience with logistics software and systems
- Knowledge of Darwin roads and geography
- Certification in first aid or defensive driving
- Previous experience working in a customer-facing role
