## About the Role The CRM Marketing Manager II is a pivotal role at NerdWallet, focused on developing and executing data-driven strategies to enhance customer engagement and retention. This position involves managing and optimizing email communications for the user base, leveraging platforms like HubSpot, Salesforce, and Klaviyo. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, candid feedback, and continuous learning. Day-to-day, the CRM Marketing Manager II will be responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of engagement campaigns aimed at new and active audiences. This includes designing onboarding processes, cross-sell opportunities, browse abandonment campaigns, and blast campaigns to drive engagement across multiple features, products, and verticals. The role reports to the Director, CRM, and involves close collaboration with various teams, including Analytics, Product, Engineering, Program Management, and Creative, to create broad-reaching impacts.   • Manage the day-to-day and long-term operational strategy of the CRM platform, including designing, building, and launching automated email, SMS, and push notification campaigns.
  • Identify and translate business goals into an effective CRM marketing strategy and operational vision for all campaigns, mapping out the appropriate customer journey and building segmentation strategies.
  • Drive campaign optimizations with a data-driven roadmap and clear metrics, sharing detailed performance, test results, and best practices.
  • Develop and document best practices and workflows for CRM operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant data privacy regulations and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and act upon opportunities for creating broad-reaching impacts.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and provide data-driven insights to improve engagement, conversion rates, and overall campaign effectiveness.
  • Lead the technical implementation of new campaigns and features within the CRM for User Engagement.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and implement complex, streamlined processes.
  • Evaluate incoming requests for resourcing and effectiveness, providing prioritization guidance.
## What We Are Looking For - Deep CRM platform expertise, with extensive hands-on experience with at least one major CRM/marketing automation platform (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, Braze, HubSpot, Marketo, Klaviyo).
  • Data and analytics proficiency, with a strong understanding of data structures, segmentation logic, and data management principles.
  • Experience with API integrations and webhooks to connect and sync data between different marketing tools and data sources.
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS for building and troubleshooting email templates.
  • Familiarity with a scripting language like AMPscript, handlebars, or Liquid for advanced personalization and dynamic content.
  • Analytical mindset, with a proven ability to analyze campaign performance, A/B test results, and customer data to identify trends.
  • Strong understanding of customer journey mapping and segmentation strategies.
  • Experience with managing and optimizing email campaigns for engagement and conversion.
## Nice to Have - Experience with Klaviyo and Salesforce for email marketing automation.
  • Knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting.
