About the Role

NerdWallet is seeking a seasoned CRM Marketing Manager II to spearhead the development and execution of data-driven marketing strategies. This remote position will play a pivotal role in driving engagement with NerdWallet's user base through personalized email, SMS, and push notification campaigns. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with major CRM/marketing automation platforms and a deep understanding of data structures, segmentation logic, and data management principles.

The CRM Marketing Manager II will report to the Director, CRM, and work closely with cross-functional teams, including Analytics, Product, Engineering, Program Management, and Creative, to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, analytical prowess, and strategic vision.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute operational plans to onboard new users and engage the broad audience, leveraging data-driven insights to drive revenue-generating campaigns
  • Design, build, and launch automated email, SMS, and push notification campaigns to drive engagement with multiple features, products, and verticals
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and provide data-driven insights to identify opportunities for A/B testing and optimization
  • Collaborate with fellow CRM marketing managers to provide prioritization guidance and manage multiple priorities
  • Partner with Analytics, Product, Engineering, Program Management, and Creative teams to identify and act upon opportunities for broad-reaching impact
  • Drive CRM strategy, identifying and translating business goals into an effective CRM marketing strategy and operational vision
  • Maintain alignment and prioritization, effectively managing multiple priorities and implementing complex and streamlined processes
  • Develop and document best practices and workflows for CRM operations, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and scalability
  • Identify and mitigate potential roadblocks to campaign success, proposing solutions and implementing fixes as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in CRM marketing and automation, applying this knowledge to continuously improve campaign effectiveness

What We Are Looking For

  • Extensive hands-on experience with at least one major CRM/marketing automation platform (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Klaviyo)
  • Strong understanding of data structures, segmentation logic, and data management principles
  • Experience with API integrations and webhooks to connect and sync data between different marketing tools and data sources
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS for building and troubleshooting email templates
  • Familiarity with a scripting language like AMPscript, handlebars, or Liquid for advanced personalization and dynamic content
  • Proven ability to analyze campaign performance, A/B test results, and customer data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment

  • Experience with Iterable, Braze, or Marketo
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics or other analytics tools
